APP Credentialing Support in Florida
Physician-related credentialing support for nurse practitioners (NPs/APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) applying to Medicaid or commercial insurers, with a clear agreement for this stage of your practice.
Support for credentialing. A defined next step afterward.
- Review of the payer’s requested physician role and supporting documents before acceptance.
- Agreed credentialing support at $500/month during the process.
- A credentialing agreement that does not establish MFMD clinical supervision of your patients.
- A separate written agreement before any transition to medical directorship or clinical collaboration.
Scope and pricing reflect MFMD’s service model. Acceptance depends on reviewing the payer’s written requirements.
01Before we beginWe first review what the payer is asking for
We first review what the payer is asking for
Share the application, forms, and the payer’s description of the requested physician role. We confirm which support can be included in the credentialing agreement. If a document requires clinical supervision or patient coverage, that obligation requires assessment for a clinical agreement; it cannot be signed as credentialing-only support.
02During the process$500/month for the agreed support
$500/month for the agreed support
The agreement documents MFMD’s participation during credentialing. It does not establish facility medical directorship, clinical supervision of the APP, patient care, or authorization to bill under the MFMD physician’s NPI. Approval and timing remain with the payer; approval is not guaranteed. The service term and closure are documented in the agreement.
03After credentialingThree options for your next stage
Three options for your next stage
1. Open your own practice and request MFMD medical directorship, subject to location, scope, and acceptance. 2. Join another practice with its own medical director and close the MFMD credentialing service. 3. Transition to a separate MFMD clinical collaboration or supervision agreement, only if needed. Autonomous NPs practicing within their authorized autonomous scope do not need this clinical agreement; credentialing support can conclude without a new MFMD service. No option activates automatically: the closing date or new agreement, responsibilities, and fee are confirmed before the next stage begins.
Before credentialing support begins.
The agreement depends on the payer’s documents and the requested physician role.
Is credentialing support a collaborating physician agreement?
No. Credentialing support covers the agreed administrative process and does not establish clinical supervision. If you later need collaboration or supervision for patient care, a separate clinical agreement is assessed. Autonomous NPs practicing within their authorized autonomous scope do not need that agreement.
Should I be included in the estimator’s APP count?
Not if you only need credentialing support. That count is for APPs requiring MFMD clinical collaboration or supervision at the facility.
Does this fee include future clinical duties?
No. Medical directorship and clinical collaboration or supervision have their own agreement and fee based on the accepted scope.
