Add medical wellness to your aesthetic practice

Start with the needs of your patients.
- Choose services that fit your patients and clinical team.
- Consider the opportunity alongside staffing, costs, and capacity.
- Establish facility-specific protocols and clinical workflows.
- Develop the program with ongoing physician governance.

01Three pillarsSatisfaction, wellness, and continuity
Satisfaction, wellness, and continuity
More services under one roof can improve the patient experience, support individualized wellness goals, and maintain a clinical relationship between aesthetic treatments. Monthly follow-up when clinically indicated can support retention and create recurring revenue. Clinical and financial results depend on demand, care quality, patient participation, and the practice’s costs.
02The conceptCare from the inside out
Care from the inside out
Your patients may have aesthetic goals alongside concerns about weight, menopause, or sexual health. Integrating medical wellness creates an opportunity to address those needs within a broader clinical relationship. Each service has its own purpose and is recommended according to the patient’s evaluation. The aim is thoughtful, coordinated care.
03Choose a starting pointA program that fits your practice
A program that fits your practice
Medical weight management or menopause care and hormone therapy are starting options to consider. Men’s sexual health and advanced diagnostic testing offer further possibilities, depending on patient needs and team readiness. Begin by reviewing what patients are asking for, the treating clinician’s experience, and the clinical time your practice can provide. A broader offering can develop in stages.
04The business opportunityConsider revenue alongside the cost of care
Consider revenue alongside the cost of care
A medical wellness program can broaden your services, diversify revenue, and create opportunities for clinically indicated follow-up. To assess viability, estimate interested patient volume, fees, and the actual cost of delivering care. Include clinician time, medications, tests and supplies paid for by the practice, the clinical platform, administration, and governance. Build projections around your own practice’s resources and demand.
05MFMD’s roleA clinical foundation tailored to your facility
A clinical foundation tailored to your facility
MFMD reviews the proposed services and clinical team and helps establish facility-specific protocols. Where development is needed, the agreed setup can include protocols, documentation requirements, follow-up workflows, and clinical escalation pathways. Existing protocols are reviewed and adapted as appropriate. Ongoing governance includes encounter review, follow-up on findings, and direct physician involvement within the contracted scope.
06ImplementationDefine the team, resources, and plan
Define the team, resources, and plan
Build on the qualifications and available time of your existing clinical team where appropriate. MFMD helps establish approved vendor and ancillary workflows within the common foundation when needed. Your practice maintains its treating team, clinical platform, scheduling, and supplier agreements. Your clinic’s team performs patient evaluations, treatment, and follow-up. An introductory call can review your current services, the program you want to develop, and the next steps. The proposal distinguishes initial setup from ongoing governance.
Clear answers before the estimate.
The final answer depends on the facility, licensed roster, payer model, and proposed services.
Do I need to add every medical wellness service?
No. You can begin with a program suited to your patients and team. Later additions are reviewed before being incorporated into the contracted scope.
Do I need an NP or PA for these programs?
MFMD’s Medical Wellness group programs require a treating NP or PA prepared to deliver the selected services. We review team responsibilities and the physician support the practice needs.
Does adding a service guarantee MFMD acceptance?
Acceptance is confirmed after reviewing the facility’s current and planned services, clinical team, and supervision needs. The plan should reflect a clinical program the practice intends and is equipped to implement.
How can I review MFMD’s fees?
Use the estimator to select the services for which you want MFMD support. The final proposal confirms the accepted scope, any setup needed, and ongoing governance fees.
