Electrologist / laser hair-removal supervision

The proposed service organizes physician supervision, protocol maintenance, documentation, safety and incident review, and the required inspection and training follow-up. Acceptance depends on an assigned physician who can meet the applicable supervision obligations for your location, equipment, and operating schedule. A monthly fee alone does not establish treatment-day coverage.

The $1,000 setup includes the governance foundation and first machine-specific protocol, consent and documentation workflow, eligibility and escalation criteria, and emergency procedures. The physician and electrologist jointly finalize the required written protocols. Additional machine-specific protocols are $250 each. Required patient assessments and the actual supervision arrangement must be identified before the program starts.

Rule 64B8-56.002 requires direct physician supervision: on the premises or qualifying telehealth within 150 miles with continuous synchronous communication. It also requires initial and semiannual review and inspection, semiannual safety training, joint written protocols, and physician examination and assessment in the initial patient consultation. The rule limits a physician to four electrologists at one time. These duties require more than retrospective chart review.

This pathway covers qualified electrologist laser or light-based hair removal. It does not extend the electrologist’s authority to general IPL photofacials, resurfacing, injectables, or other aesthetic procedures. We verify professional qualifications, device training, any supervision restrictions, and the planned treatment schedule. Required patient evaluations are not automatically included as a patient-care service in the governance estimate.

Standalone governance is $750/month for one electrologist, with the required supervision arrangement confirmed before activation. Each additional electrologist adds $500/month. Initial implementation is $1,000; each additional machine-specific protocol is $250. Initial implementation includes the first 30 days of governance. The proposal identifies the actual supervision and patient-assessment arrangements before any services begin.
