Business ownership and clinical authority are separate questions. An RN may have an ownership interest, but RN ownership does not create independent prescribing authority, expand the nursing scope, or automatically establish AHCA exemption. Because TRT involves a Schedule III controlled substance, prescribing authority is an even more distinct issue from ownership.
Ownership, AHCA status, controlled-substance prescribing authority, and clinical governance each need their own answer. An RN administers under an appropriate order; the prescriber (physician, authorized APRN, or delegated PA with DEA registration) owns the testosterone prescribing decision.
Owning the company does not make the RN the prescriber. Confirm the AHCA pathway and prescribing model with counsel.
